The south of France is a true Mediterranean region. Good for grapes, lavender, lemons, olives and other fruits of the area. It is also a land that is truly a mix of cultures. Italian, French and Spanish are the dominant cultures with others branching off of them.
Francis Cabrel comes from Southern France and all the flavours of the area are reflected in his music. I like his styles and I like the fact that he exposes the joys of that land to me because that is the land of my ancestors.
