Stevie Sings Evie

Stevie Wright first hit the big stage as a 17 year old fronting The Easybeats and the hit “Friday on My Mind” in ‘66.
In the early 70s he had a smash hit in his Australian homeland called “Evie parts 1, 2 and 3″. The song is divided into 3 distinct parts, dealing with love before, during and after a serious relationship.
For the next couple of decades Stevie got all wrapped up in the “sex, drugs and rock & roll” scene – especially the drugs part and it almost destroyed him.
Here he is in the “after” portion of that part of his life singing Evie. He’s a brave man. I’ll also post “Friday” to bring back a few memories.
