Soup for the Soul

In 1973 my bro went to England and came back with a gift for me - Goat’s Head Soup by the Rolling Stones. Any time I got an English pressing of an album I was in heaven. Didn’t like it too much musically but I treasured it anyway. This is a song about the PO-lice in New York City….

I’m not a fan of big cities…but San Francisco is one cool town. Otis picked a great place as the setting for this classic. From 1968 comes the incomparable Otis Redding.
