The Other Side of This
October 30, 2011
1971 was 40 years ago. And some of the things happening in music have not been seen or heard since. Musicians were experimenting within and without genres, melding them together, kicking them around and pumping out their adaption of cause/effect. More importantly, people were open to these new sounds.
One of the bands to emerge from the musical mosiac of the time was a British band named Colossium. They featured the tenor sax of Dick Hextall-Smith. Some people call the style “jazz-rock fusion”. Whatever.
