Celtic Winds

When the Irish and Scots came over here a few hundred years back they brought their fiddles. And something completely different happened. A new race was born (metis) as well as a new twist to celtic music. Below is a further refinement of traditional Metis music as performed by Sierra Noble in 2010 during the annual Folklorama (the world’s largest and longest running multicultural festival). It’s interesting as she slides into Orange Blossom Special and Pretty Woman and Daytripper……but the celtic influence is certainly present.

Something a wee bit different for St Patrick’s Day.
