Right to Kill
December 4, 2015
Tired of offering thoughts and prayers to loved ones and victims of senseless killings in America? Not yet? The country has proven that it has no control…its bullets have killed presidents, leaders, visionaries, innocent children….it will never stop. Never. In fact, it will get worse, as more and more people will use this acceptance and ease of weapon acquisition in the U.S. to kill for whatever reasoning their distorted minds have adopted as valid. We have to live with death by right. Sorry.
A culture that believes they have a right to carry firearms, an inability to keep guns out of the wrong hands, the gun lobby, a gunman, his Charter Arms .38-caliber pistol and his gun’s bullet killed John Lennon 35 years ago this week. Pity.
And that culture is infectious. Tomorrow is the anniversary of The 1989 École Polytechnique Massacre. A man murdered 14 female students on the campus of a Montreal University…..because they were women/feminists. Canada, however, has taken some steps towards limiting access to weaponry in an attempt to limit such events. The U.S. on the other hand, this week voted down a bill that would make it difficult for people on no fly lists to legally purchase guns. Right now, in the U.S., suspected terrorists can buy guns and exercise (s/b exorcize) their Second Amendment rights. It’s beyond amazing that Americans allow that to happen. But it shows the power the NRA has over its flock.
Off the soapbox: What follows is classic 60s music by one of the decade’s “supergroups”. And the band plays on…..
