Done Like Dinner?

bull

All we are saying, is give 45 a chance…
I promised myself to avoid politics as much as possible but it seems like traditional politics no longer does the job. The characters are abusing the privilege we have given them.
OK enough bullshit already. After yesterday’s fiasco monologue by 45, the GOP should be ashamed at their decidedly racist, bullying, bullshitting direction that they have taken. And not just rasist but sooo much more.
Push the eject button. Abandon ship. Get the hell outa Dodge. It’s over.

The joke’s on us. Sad.

Back in 2012 Letterman had this apology for the future 45:

  1. Like on the recent Grammy Awards the performers and directors have a choice: Stop the performance mid-song, admit the mistake,  reset and start over (Adele)…or continue like a “Moth into Flame”.

Yes Virginia, there comes a point where you have to decide whether or not to ‘let the show go on’.

This song from the circus is very appropriate. Sayer doing his best impersonation of the clowns that are today the GOP and 45:
Leo Sayer – The Show Must Go On – 1974

Lyrics:

Baby, although I chose this lonely life
It seems it’s strangling me now
All the wild men with big cigars and gigantic cars
They’re all laughing at me now
Oh I’ve been used, used
I’ve been taken for a fool, oh what a fool
I broke all the rules, rules, yeah
But I won’t let the show go on

Baby, there’s an enormous crowd of people (biggest since Reagan)
And they’re all after my blood
I wish maybe they’d tear down the walls of this theater
And let me out, let me out
Oh, I’ve been so blind, yeah
I’ve wasted time, wasted, wasted oh so much time
Walking on the wire, high wire, yeah
But I won’t let the show go on

I’ve been so blind, oh yes, I’ve been so blind
Wasted my time, wasted so much time
Walking on the wire, high wire, yeah
But I won’t let the show go on

Baby, I wish you’d help me escape
And help me get away
Leave me outside my address
Far away from this masquerade
I’ve been so used, I’ve been so abused
I’ve been a fool, I broke all the rules
I’ve been so used oh and abused
But I won’t let the show go
Ah, but I won’t let the show
Ho, I won’t let the show go on
