Feel the Burn

May 26, 2017

Image from a Grant Maloy Smith tweet. You know, craft brewers and other smaller drink producers are coming up with some pretty wild names for their product but this one….well they’re getting free advertising so maybe it worked

Today in Tucson and much of the American southwest, the temperature will again climb over 100 and strong winds will hit tomorrow causing some blowing dust in the wind.
First a GMS song:

Old Black Roller

And of course, one of Tuscon’s favourite daughters, Linda Ronstadt,  below (doing a song written by Mike Nesmith) with her sixties band The Stone Ponys.

She moved to Los Angeles at 18 to chase her dream and even in this early performance her voice grabbed everyone’s attention.

(She has recently lost her singing voice due to Parkinson’s disease but was at the Roy Thomson Hall in March for a speaking engagement discussing the desease).
